well i have promotion dance for eigth grade on thursday i have a light blue dress and silver accesories. what should i do with my hair and make up (im 5'1" and 102 pounds if that helps)

You - are going to look soooooooo good! Very little make-up, please, and highlight just your eyes this time. Hair is going to be up and out of your eyes. Comfortable shoes so you can have some fun and a great attitude and perfect, tall posture and carry yourself like a lady and you'll have a great time! Not too much silver. Light blue is subtle, so don't load a whole lot of stuff on you that will just get in the way and detract from the structure of your face and striking directness of your eyes. Have a great time! Well, I worked at Merle Norman for over a year, and if you are in the eighth grade, don't overdo it. If you want to emphasize a certain feature on your face, like your eyes or lips, do so, but downplay the other feature. For example, if you play up your eyes, which I would recommend, then go subtle on the cheeks and lips. Since you are young, you won't need a lot of drama. Maybe stick with a shimmer eye shadow all over the lid, and a matte or shimmer medium to dark color in the crease for some subtle depth. A light liner and black mascara will top it off nicely. For lips, I would say, a gloss, maybe a medium pink or coral since it is summertime. Stay away from lip liner, it looks too heavy on a young lady like yourself. For cheeks, I would say, either use a dusty rose, or use a bronzer as a definer on your cheeks, and then brush on forehead, nose and chin and around jawline to add a little color. That should do. Have fun!
