I used to have really thick hair but it all started falling out. My mom got worried so she won't let me use heat or products on my hair anymore (which is unfortunate since my hair is kind of unruly.) She doesn't even like the heat protecting sprays either. My hair falls out every time I brush it, like 11-12 hairs. Is there anyway to get my hair thicker?

i want to buy a chi flat iron but can`t decide between the regular chi 1" the turbo 2" or the "big chi" which is a 2" i have long curly hair and need a good straightner, also i heard that it dosent matter wether u use a 1 inch or a 2 inch it will straighten at the same rate, is this true? so which one should i get? thanks so much! also it would help if u`ve used them before

I'm white and I have thick wavy/curly brown hair with highlights. I am sick of straigtening my hair because it takes forever and my hair is so stubborn. I was wondering what would happen if I did a black persons perm to straighten it.

Instuctions on the box say roots only or if you havent colored your hair in 3 months. I havent done an overall hair color in a year, just doing root touch ups. Is it safe to do any overall change? I have been using reddish brown/lightest auburn but would like to go to a warm/carmel brown. my hair has gotten too much red in it. Any suggestions will be great and appreciated. Thanks!

I've had the same haircut, just a normal fade, for i cant even remember how long. To long though. I'm a 20 yr old guy and i have a slight receding hairline, nothing to noticeable but it stops me form doing a lot with my hair. I was just going to shave it but that will shwo the receding hairline. Anybody have any suggestions on a new hairstyle?

my hair is wavy and i have many different layers.... i try not to straighten my hair or blow dry it (though i do but not as much as most people) ... yet its kind of like straw, well, not as bad as that but... very still, dry with no life or movement...

my friend has curly hair and she straightens it all the time, she has done for years, she even used to do it with the iron!... and it stays so soft and silky... yet she denies using any products...

i go to the hairdressers every 6 weeks for a moisture treatment and trim, i have no colour in my hair and use salon products... what am i doing wrong!!!

dont get me wrong, i've used conditioners all my life, but i just realized that i've never really known wat they do. so i decided to test it out, for the past 2 weeks i've only used shampoo and no conditioner, and my hair looks and feels the exact same. so is there actually a purpose for conditioners or are they just extra unnecessary chemicals added to our hair? perhaps they have some kind of long-term benefit for hair?

hi, recently my hair starts falling every time i comb or wash my hair. well, my hair is still thick, but i can see my forehead is getting wider. its not that serious tho, but its starting. non of my family member is bold. my parents, grandparents, uncle, nor aunt. i wonder if hair gel has any effect on this. i use it almost everyday when i go to work. its alcohol-free hair gel. any tips to keep my hair stops falling? doesnt those regrow-hair products have side-effect? thanks!

My hair has been growing for almost 3 years so that I can donate it to Locks of Love. Can you share with me the positive of what I am doing? I "know" that it is a good thing, but right now I have bitten my nails into the quick thinking about getting 10-12 inches of my hair cut off.
I never thought that I'd be vain, but I think it is just the fear of change.
