Use a super absorbent hair towel to reduce drying time. ex) Aquis or The Body Shop

After shampooing & conditioning your hair, comb out tangles w/ a wide tooth comb.

4) Use a heat protector before using heated styling tools.

Joico K-Pak shampoo & conditioner are the best for damaged hair. The conditioner can be use daily or as a deep conditioning mask.

Avoid using styling products w/ a lot of alcohol; stick to ones w/ alcohol lower down on the ingredients list.

Run a drop of jojoba oil through the ends of your hair. It will add a bit of sheen & makes a good leave in conditioner. Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic & washes out easily.

Consider getting your hair trimmed regularly to remove the dry, damaged ends & prevent split ends from spreading upwards on each hair shaft. (about every 4-6 weeks)

I get the ends of my hair trimmed every 2 months (about a quarter of an inch each time) and do the hot oil treatments or deep conditioning once a week. Haven't seen a split end since. If you want to let your hair grow long, you can prolong the time between trims but you must do it no more than every 3 months.
