i want to lighten my hair. it's dark brown at the moment, and i want to make it a medium or light golden brown. would it alright to do this with an at home kit? i was thinking to use loreal preference, or natural match. which is better?

Right now I have long hair with side bands. Does anyone know of any hairstyles that are emo and dont cut all of your hair off? I want my hair to at least come to my sholders. any pics will help. Thax!

Im thinking about dyeing some of my hair. I have darker hair (black/brown) so im probably going to have to dye it. And i was wondering how bad does bleach make your hair??

am going to do highlights today, but first i did a strand test and it came orange then i did it again and it came perfectly like i wanted my question is if i do it then i wash it then i do it again wud it damage my hair?

I have brown thick wavy hair. Im getting a new style soon and i know wot i want. I would like it to be like ashley tisdale's hair. Her hair looks so nice. The bit that i like is the wavy bit's and the side fringe (that i hve) It' just that i want my hair to be nice and curly and wavy but curliers dnt work on me so wot can i do ?!?! i wouldnt mind straight hair either!!! x

did they simply cut their hair into a blunt bob or was their some layering trick they used in the 20's? I've tried googling it but so far i haven't found much so i was gonna see if any had any knowledge on how they bobbed their hair in the 20's. thanks!

my hair colour is strawberry blonde and 7 weeks ago i went brown(permanent). i then last week wanted to go back to my own colour or maybe a little lighter. A hairdresser i no who works in a good hairdresses came around to do it. she 'stripped it' and then couloured it my hair went bright orange,she done it again it went white and then again it went ginger!!!(at that point it was time for her to leave) i have lived with it for a week (under a cap!) today i bought a home permanent colour light blonde do you think its safe to apply to my hair(very very short hair) i had payed £45 to the hairdresser to mess it up and really dont have the money to re-do it. I do normal buy these blode days for my hair and they work fine but i have never gone brown then ginger before i apply one!!!
(at the moment i look light the amber on a traffic light.............

just curious to what y'all thought. About six months ago when i was getting my hair done the lady cutting my hair asked what kind of shampoo and cond i used on my hair. at the time i was using suave and i told her that, she took a step back and said not to use that anymore because the store brand stuff causes your hair to have a wax build up. Than i met someone who sells this hair products called back to basic. to be honest i did not notice a diff between the salon stuff and reg hair shampoo and cond. Is there any truth when it comes to salon stuff being better?

I have NEVER gotten a clean shave in the year I have shaved using my razor.

I know I am not doing it correctly but I don't know why.

The only way I can get a clean shave is if I shave against the grains. But if I do that then I usually end up cutting myself and get pimples.

So I usually just shave with the grains but the problem with it is that it doesn't cut it closely. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong.

I want to die my hair when I get a little bit of a tan and grow my hair out a couple inches.
