Hair - March 2007

Does anyone know of a website where I could try out different hairstyles on myself for free? I'm considering cutting & dying my hair, but I don't really trust my own imagination as to what it will look like, and to be honest I don't even know what would look good on me.

Talking with a random hairstylist is also out of the question - the last time I trusted one I ended up with a mullet and had to wear my hair in a ponytail for almost 6 months.

I am in my late 20's and married to the love of my life. We've been together 9 years and married for 6 months. He is very handsome and treats me well. But I haven't had much of a sex drive for the last 2 years and now any more than once a month seems like a chore for me? MD's, counseling and therapy haven't been much of a help and I am feeling guilty, and like a bad wife because I am not attracted to my gorgeous, wonderful husband. Is it physical? Mental? Fixable? I have kinda given up on sex and almost now feel disgusted by it. Any serious thoughts and or help are appreciated.

Ok well, watch the new Avril Lavigne video Girlfriend. I want my hair to have that kind of pink strands with black at the bottom. I dont know how it will turn out though. My hair is a very very dark brown. It is very thick and kind of wavy. Tell me what you think!

I have, what my stylist says, super-straight hair. I love the look of curls on my friends, but I can't seem to do it myself! What kinds of shampoo work best for a girl with semi-thick shoulder length, brown hair to help get curls?

How can I keep my hair in the curls too? Please be specific with products and please note, I never have a lot of cash. :D The only time I seem to get somewhat presentable curls, they're blown out by the wind...

I went to get a hair cut not too long ago. I had very straight hair that was even. I asked for her to add some layers. looked good when wet, but when blow dried it at home, it looked awful. I tried some creams, but they made my hair feel greasy and sticky. any idea on what i can do? thanks in advacne.

Hi,
I am boy. I straighten my hair everyday. I've heard that the heat from the ceramic straightener is bad for the hair and so I shouldnt do it. My hair are very dry and rough and curly, thats why I striaghten them. But if I continue to striaghten them, even if they go bad, cant I just shave my head and healthy new hair will grow?

i would love to know whats the purpose for wrapping the hair, i never had mine done but have saw other american black women do this, do it give lotta body to the hair, are make it waving? do it matters how ,long the hair may be? are how short? i would love tips on this procedure.. plz tell what type tools you would need to do this,. p.s ( my question is mainly directed to black american women are men, because i have only seen this proceedure on black american women, plz tell steps in wrappin, and tools and hair products needed, would really love this advice from a hair dresser, thank you...

I just recently purchased the Sun-In Hair Lightener product, and I wanted to know if it was possible to style your hair as usual while the product is in.

I ask this because the instructions say to apply to damp hair. Usually I use a flat iron and a matte clay on my hair.
The website offers no information about this, and I need to know so I don't damage my hair.

The closest thing it mentions is that a blow dryer CAN be used to help bring out the highlights, but no mention of a flat iron.

Please help.

I,v been dying my dark brown hair for years now (going grey!!!)

My friend bought this Vidal Sassoon stuff in a slim green tin. It says VS in big letters on the front. It is used to eliminate the amount of frizz (or at least that's what my friend does) and it says sculpting and defining wax on it. When i got my cast off my hair on my hair was like 4 times worse than when i didnt have it, i want to shave my arm but people say if i do it will grow back alot more, so what can i do that will get the hair off my arm but not grow back as much.
