I'm planning on buying the blondest hair dye I can get to make my red hair lighter. Which brand would you suggest and why.

I wouldn't suggest you doing that bc reds and blondes can be very touchy to balance. Please go to the salon and tell them what you want. Remember that every four weeks your roots will show also. How about some highlights instead?

Okay, first off do NOT NOT NOT just dye your hair... unless you are going for an orange color, which I can pretty much promise you will get.

What I would do is strip the color out of your hair. This will leave your hair a very light yellow color. Then most people dye over that. If you still want a redish blonde then you could get strawberry blonde, or if you want blonde get blonde.

But, just make sure that you follow the instructions for the stripper because I once ended up with yellow hair... and once orange... and it is not very pretty. But as long as you leave it in long enough it should be fine.

Have fun!

To dye red hair Blonde, you need to go to a salon, they will bleach it lighter and then add color to it. It is very stress for your hair. Box dye will not do the job.

well i used clariol and it turned out really good.i dyed my hair blonde and instead of drying my hair out like alot of dyes do, it make it feel really soft and it looked very shiny.it was really cheap too an you can go to their web site, upload a picture and see how you would look with different blonde hues.its great.

I have tried any brand that you could think of. I think the best one is Chi. Chi does not let your hair get dried and it does not contain any Ammonia. It does not smell bad and the color does not fade.

Just go to a salon and have a professional lighten your hair. Box color sucks and your hair may turn out looking worse if you try and do it at home.
