I have such oily hair, I have to wash it everyday or it is so greasy. Any tips on how to make it where I do not have to wash it everyday, but every other day?

I have about 12 inches to donate and I know that some places will cut your hair for free, while others will only give you the tax form. Locks of Love doesn't list participating salons anymore.

I don't mind which organization I end up donating to. I would much rather just get the free cut, but any place that is set up for donating would be good. I know I can send it myself but I'd rather just let someone else do it.

Suggestions? I live in SoCal.

People always say that dying hair damages it, but I dyed my hair black last year and it's been in much better condition ever since. it's silkier and shinier and not all split up like it was before.

A while back though, I got some blonde highlights and the bleaching really DID damage it.

so is it just going lighter that damages hair, or can dying it darker damage it too?

I've used many shampoos and conditioners over the years and it seems like after a couple months go by (sometimes longer, sometimes shorter) they stop working. What I want in a shampoo is one that smells great (and the smell lasts), does what it says it's going to do or close to that, and is affordable. I have medium length dry/damaged color treated hair. After quite a while of browsing and comparing (I was stuck between Tresemme, Sunsilk, Aussie, Loreal Vive, SAMY, and Dove.. I've used Dove before and the reason I love it is cause the smell, and the smell lasts but I really wanted something new) I ended up choosing Tresemme and on the bottle it says "colour" and that it has Vitamin E in it, for color treated hair, etc. I also bought a Tresemme volumizing mousse.

If you have used Tresemme, please tell me what you think of it? Are you still using it? How long did you use it for before it seemed to lose its effect? Comments and criticism on the brand please? Thanks!

I have a few hair brushes that are still in good condition, but they are dirty...I usually just go buy a new one, but am broke right now. What is a good way to get the dirty film and grease out of a hairbrush? Is there a way to minimize the way it picks up stuff?

Hi,
I am boy. I have had very rough and curly hair that would not comb or stay any way I wanted it to. Tired of this, I began striaghtening it. The hair was long so it looked very good after sraightening, and looked smooth and hung over the ears and some of the face so I kept pushing it off to the side. My parents always force me to get a haircut. Everytime I do, it starts looking bad and I get really upset EVERYTIME. Last time my parents even promised me they wouldnt make me do stuff they wanted with my hair again. Then, they made me get a haircut recently, just a little bit though. Now, when I straighten it, instead of hanging over the face, it arches upwards and looks so weird! How do I fix this? I think its because its even now and was uneven before. Geez how many times do I have to go through this? Why cant I keep my hair the way I want!?

Sometimes I wear my thick, straight hair kind of curly. I have to wash it, set it with moose and hair spray, then divide it into 5-7 sections and twist and fasten it to the top of my head to dry overnight... It;s alot of work but my hair won't hold the curl otherwise. My question IS... Which way do you think would be cuter when it is curly? I usually just pull the very front up (like, what would be my bangs b4 i grew them out) and back with bobby pins... or would it be cuter to pull just one side back a little with a couple of bobby pins? Or something else? Keep in mind it's stiff and difficult to work alot with!

Does a barber shop still use hair styling products like hair wax or hair glue like a salon? Or do I have these 2 completely mixed up? Please help! "If I want a new hairstyle for a while, where should I go?"
