I once went to have my hair frosted blond by a professional at a salon and it turned out a golden orange, I was not happy.

A good friend of mine was going to have her hair bleached and had the appointment made. We went out partying on Friday night and she ended up going home with some really cute guys. I ended up taking her car home and got really worried when she didn't come home to get it...until Sunday night! (unheard of for her!) Turns out these guys had an apartment full of cocaine, a ski boat and other fun toys (she had never done anything like that before) and she spent the weekend enjoying it with them. When she went to get her hair bleached the next day, it turned the most hideous shade of green!!! The beautician asked her if she was taking any medication - the only explanation she could think would do that! Of course my friend didn't want to admit to using cocaine, so she said yea, antibiotics. They tried to tone it down with a light brown shade, to hopefully cover the green and it turned another equally hideous shade of PURPLE! At that point, the beautician suggested she just live with it for a couple of weeks and then re-do it. She did just that, and as I said, it was not a pretty shade!

ohhhh jeeze where do i start?? okay sooo my 2nd year of college I had the bright idea to try to put black streaks into my blonde hair. instead of going to a professional i decided to have my friends do it for me. i bought a box of jet black permenant hair dye and highlighting cap. the idea was to pull strands of hair through the cap and then dye thoes black. in theory it made sense. i followed the instructions on the box and let the dye sit in my hair for the correct ammount of time before washing it out. this is when disaster struck because once i got in the shower the water rinsed the excess dye out of the streaks i pulled through the cap all over the rest of my hair. what i ended up with then was BLUE/GREY hair that had BLACK streaks. i looked like a freak! i went to the beauty salon the next day and had to have my hair stripped.
Another time i decided that I wanted to make my blonde hair platnum blonde. i decided the best way to do this was to get a highlighting kit and instead of just bleaching streaks I would bleach my whole head. again, seemed to make sense in theory. unfortunitly the bleach did not remove the color from my hair evenly and i ended up with orange hair and bright white roots. when i came crying to my mother she screamed in terror. my sister ran to the drug store to buy a box of hair dye to try to add color to my scary roots but it wouldn't take. the worst part was i couldn't get an appointment at the hair dresser until the weekend so i had to go to work for two days with the frightening hair. i was so embarrased.

Hair colour/dyes make my skin red and inflamed, especially around the ears.

My friend and I were taking turns coloring our hair. Her's came out perfectly and then she started on mine. She ran out of bleach and was affraid to tell me so she started using water. My hair turned bright (blanca from street fighter) orange. Not only that but it was fried to death. I had scabs all over my head as well.

i colored my hair with a semi permnament dye that was suppose to make my hair a honey red, well it made my hair dark brown red like dried blood and it kept that color long after the "28 washes" was over. i was not one happy person, i had to recolor my hair and shampoo forever!
