I've heard that some women go a month without washing their hair because they have braids or perms or things like that is that really true? Does your hair smell after not washing it that long?

im a 16 yr old guy.. EVERY time i go to get my hair cut, they always end up saying.. wow, your hair is sooooo thick! They recommended a special conditioner, and i've been using it for about 8 months, and it has worked a bit, but barely. My hair is still really thick, it's about 1 inch long. Gelling it each morning is my only option for style, and even then when i brush it back, it ends up being ugly after an hour or two.. here's a pic of it looking bad... any tips or anything on how to make it look better or softer? http://i9.tinypic.com/3yzz6uc.jpg

if only my hair was naturally thin and soft, then i wouldn't have to go thru all of this...

Hello everyone. My hair is a light to medium golden blonde almost all over. My roots are growing in and they are a dark ash blonde to a light ash brown...somewhere in the middle. Well, I can't afford to have my hair done again so I want to do it myself. However, I don't want to lighten my roots to blonde. I want to darken my hair all over. My hairdresser used an ash base once before and it turned my hair grayish-blue. Should I just stick to a neutral color? I don't want to use a golden base color either because I don't want too much gold. Do you think a neutral base will be okay? I bought Garnier Medium Brown. Any comments or suggestions?

I dont have and hair on my face or my body to see or shave while all my peers do. I want to grow a full beard and full body hair badly. I hate being balded and hairless.

Here's my problem: This year (Junior year) my homecoming is supposed to be the best homecoming I've been to and I want to look great. I have got the perfect dress and now I need the perfect hair. My hair is mid-back length and curly. They're all kinds of curls, big and small. I want that big loose curl almost tight wave look for my hair but don't know how to do it properly. Can anyone tell me how to get those curls without my curls taking over like they do when my hair is straightened? Thanx in advance to anyone who answers me and/or takes the time to read my question. :)

not as in, layered/side swept bangs, but as in, down or straight. or up in a pony tail. or a half pony tail.

I have thin(not VERY thin, but thin enough for me to hate it) hair, it's blonde, straight as a pin, and sort of long. how should i wear my hair/what's the best?

i'd like your opinion not "well it's your choice, your hair" please.

Thank you.

I have thin hair that's very dense... I want to grow it really long, but I don't want a huge mane of hair and it's already getting that way. What haircut will make my long mane of hair look thinner?
