Hair is a dead outgrowth, and no shampoo put on the dead outgrowth can change how hair grows or whether it will fall out or not.
Nioxin claims to remove waxy buildup and by keeping the wax off your scalp, supposedly the hair has a better chance of growing, but I have tried it and it was no different than any other hair care products.
No shampoo will make any difference in my opinion.

I dont think any shampoo does that as its supposed to clean hair and not grow hair...but any sort of dandruff shampoo may promote new hair as it moisturizes the scalp, typically if the scalp is dry and flaking, then the hair root is less sturdy and will fall out easily....so maybe Selsun blue which is a great drandruff shampoo
