I just got my hair colored and when my brother saw it he laughed. Buthe is a jackass so i dont know if it looks bad or not....tell me what you think of my hair

I am asking this question because I have found that above all in our society young African American girls believe that they are not beautiful unless they have straight long hair. Also most African American girls believe that lighter colored contacts make their eyes pretty. Why? They are being taught this damaging self-concept stuff and it can only get worst.

ok so basically...I have natural black hair...and I want blondish gold highlights but people are saying that it might mess up the perm I have in my hair but I don't really like my plain black hair and plus I'm ready for a change!! I went to my hair stylist today because I had an appointment to get my hair highlighted so she did a very small test spot in the back of my hair and it turn a orange lookin color..so right then I knew it would be hard to get dark hair to light hair!! and she used bleach!! what should I do I called over 10 hair salons today to see if someone could do it but no luck..and I have senior pictures coming up very soon!! please suggest anything so I can get nice highlights in my permed hair!!

I am getting a major haircut this week, and I want to recolor my hair, too. I dye my hair myself but I will be getting my hair cut at a salon. Should I dye my hair at home before or after getting it cut? Does it really make a difference?

Well, the outside of the box doesn't say anything...I bought Revlon Frost and Glow with the cap. SO FAR, it doesn't look like it's developing badly. But reading over the TEENY TINY PRINT, it says that it should not be used on hair tinted with permanent haircolor...which...MINE IS. What's going to happen?? Is it just not goin to look right??? Or, God forbid, will my hair break in two or something??? It doesn't have any ammonia in it. And not surprisingly, they don't have late customer service to help me. :( Anyone???

I have black hair, bangs to my eyes, and in-between short/medium hair length. I am an Asian guy, 5'6" 140 and school starts tomorrow, and I'm tired of having the same hair-do. ( gelled bangs, slicked up) Are there any good styles that I can do? Please help!!

What services do you get when you go to a salon/spa? How much do you normally pay? What makes you return to a salon? If you purchase professional products(shampoos, gels, etc) what brands do you chose? my hair is naturally dark brown. my hair is currently dyed light brown with red in it. i have about 1.5 inches of root showing (i don't care). in about 2 weeks i'm going to go to the salon and get it dyed blonde (it's going to be a darker shade of blonde so as not to be too dramatic for my hair also i'm white if that makes a difference pretty damn pale but w/e) so any tips? this will be my 2nd dye job. i'm going into my senior year class 2007! :)

i have dirty blonde hair and i was wondering how you make it lighter. like something homemade that i could try.some of my friends have used this expensive stuff from the store, but its just too much.i also don't want to die or highlight my hair. no offense but i hate fake blondes, their just wannabes. all blondes would agree with me there.
