How do I Get Herbatint Out Of My Hair?

I'm desprate to dye my hair a diffrent color but I dyed it black with Herbatint....Help?

A stylist once told me to try and buy a 'clarifying or cleansing' shampoo, and use it over and over. It will help strip the color from your hair.

Are you talking about a vegetable dye? Henna?

There is no turning back from that stuff! You're just going to have to cut the dyed hair off. Nothing you can do will safely remove (or remove at all) the dye you have put on. Even if you try to use color remover, you have to realize it's like trying to remove a koolaid stain from a counter top. You'd need clorox to do that. You would have to lift your hair, but the damage would be irreversible.

You're either going to have to deal with the black until it grows back, or shave your head and start over....Are ya feeling a little punk? Just let it grow out a little, it may fade to where it's liveable. Consult a stylist before you do ANYTHING!
