I dyed my hair black (back to its natural hair color) but when I tried to go lighter it only did my roots. I was told to bleach and then dye... but how do I go about doing that????

ok, so I have naturally semi-black hair and never colored my hair, I'm thinking of coloring my hair jet-black (totally black) and then brunette. But, my mom said that dying hair totally black causes hair to turn grey, was she right or not??

About every 3 or 4 months I redo my hair color whether it be touch ups or a total re-style.Right now I have caramel blonde on the top with this pretty burgundy-purple underneath. My fiance likes my hair darker, I have no preference, it's just hair. I think I wanna total change this time.Let me know what ya'll think!!

I part my hair on my right so the left has more hair obviously so it lays a little differently than my right. Any products or tricks that anyone knows to help it lay better?
I have straight hair bob cut just below my lobes.

I have very flat, straight, asian hair. I want a root perm and maybe a few curls to volumize it. I was wondering if perms would take the sleek out of my hair and make it frizzy? ALso, how much damge will it cause to my hair? Because I've already dyed and hilighted it six different times. I've tried volumizing shampoo but it doesnt work. It's hard to do my hair (hairspray, blow dry, etc.) because it is long. I am horrible at it so i want a perm. Does anyone have an idea of how perms turn out? Thanks in advance.

I'm naturally blonde, and I dyed my hair a red/brown. But 2 days later the red is gone at the bottom of my hair (still red on top) and its just a light brown/dark blonde.

I cant afford to have it professionally done. Should I just wait until the color fades? And then dye it dark blonde? Or should I dye it dark blonde now?

I'm just worried that if I do it now it will come out looking bad. But I dont like the way my hair looks now.
