LICE- Is usually white, unless they are full grown. Lice only go onto clean hair never dirty.. Which I find weird but it's true.

If you have dreads the bugs (which wouldn't be lice). Are like fecal eaters and the smell and the non-clean-le-ness of your hair, could also be the culprit of your bug infestation. If you have dreads it's time to cut those suckers off.

However you could have fleas, which could be the case if you have animals. IF YOU HAVE ANIMALS THAT MIGHT BE A PROBLEM. You need to get checked and your animals need a flea bathe and some advantage.

All-in-all a lice shampoo with the comb with usually take out your infestation. You can buy it at the drug store.

I hope this helps you.

Sorry to hear about your problem. The sucks the big one dude.

Good lord, a doctor would be a giant waste of money - only resort to that if you need something stronger than the stuff they sell in a drugstore.

I'd recommend using lice shampoo, cutting all your hair off, and having someone comb through what's left (using one of those tiny lice combs; they usually come with the shampoo). Then shampoo again the next day and have someone check your head (for lice and nits, the tiny eggs that are attached to individual hairs) once a day until you've been free of them for four days.

Make sure to wash and DRY (on high, this is important) all of your clothes and vacuum then stay off of any cloth furniture and carpets for at least three weeks (or you could cover everything in plastic). Wash your sheets every other day.

Probably so. They get on clean and dirty hair so don't feel bad. There is a new electronic comb (drug stores)that zaps them as you comb through your hair slowly and carefully to get all hair treated. Or you can use Crisco/or other brands of shortening on your head and put plastic wrap on tight and let it set an hr. It smothers them 2 ways. If you use mayonaise, as some people say to use, you will be washing her hair many many times. If they can get through the crisco/shortening then the plastic wrap gets them. Wash hair thoroughly and rinse. You may have to do it twice to get all of the shortening out. There are all kinds of shampoos to buy but the crisco works and is cheap and on hand. Next wash all bedding with brown Lysol, vaccum your matresses and all floors, put anything material but not washable in a trash bags and keep them air tight for about 3 or 4 days, vac furniture & under the cushions and ends, wash bed and furniture pillows, wash all toys, etc. Set off bombs that are just for lice(drug store)but remove any pets or fish first. Ck your entire family and friends at the same time and then again in a few days because you never get all of the lice in one treatment and also the eggs you missed will hatch. Lice can jump!Wash coats, hats, and anything else that you have worn and not washed the last 10 or so days. If you don't do a thorough job of cleaning and treating the family and pets, you WILL get it again.

It could be...but usually you don't see the lice bugs unless you have it REALLY bad. If you do have lice, though, I'll tell you, DON'T BUY THE SHAMPOOS at the drugstore because they don't work. Lice have developed an immunity to them from them being used so much. Don't bother getting a prescription from the doctor's either, because those don't work. What you have to do is comb them out after putting vegetable oil all over your hair and scalp. Here are some sites to help you out:

yes, go to your local health department and get your head checked or have some one who knows what to look for check it. Also, go to your local drug store,,,Rite Aid, CVS, Walgreens and get the treatment and do it right away. The longer you wait the harder it will be to get it out of your hair and your house.
