Highlights are a great way to add dimmension to you hair, especially if you're a brunette. But any highlights or hair dye with Ash coloring has cool undertones, which can possibly turn your hair green if you're using an Ash Blonde color. I suggest getting blonde higlights that have Golden in the title, because they tend to have warmer undertones, like the red/orange/yellow side of the color spectrum. Good luck and I hope that helps!

Go to a large store and look at the boxes of the hair colors. See if the models match your skin and hair coloring. Dark hair need ash highlights generally.

I think it depends on your skin tone. If you aren't very tanned you'll look better in darker hilights. Try a dark blonde or a honey blonde against dark brown hair.

I think it would look good. or if you want a really good opinion you can ask the person who does your hair. or you can just try it out and see how it looks like.
good luck
