Your hair only grows about 1/2 inch every couple of months, what prevents this from happening is how healthy your hair is or isn't, There is no trick to make it grow, just keep it healthy and trim it every 6-8 weeks. A deep conditioning should get you off to the right start. When you apply the conditioner (any kind will do) put a shower cap on your head for about 10 mins. It ll take a couple of days but once your hair is Healthy you'll start to notice it is growing.

yeah, olive oil will help it grow. olive oil has great proteins in it which are great for your hair. remember to let the oil stay there for a little while though, so your hair can suck up the proteins and be healthier ofcourse. olive oil is real helpful and you can use it for your hair to help it grow.

I doubt it...it may give hair some nutrition, but you'd be better off to just take vitamins and avoid the greasy after effects.
