Actually it's the Prenatal vitamins. They contain B-Complex vitamins (B5 pantothenic acid, B3 niacin, Biotin, etc.) Prenatal vitamins contain zinc, magnesium, potassium. Vitamin A, C, E all of which promote the growth of hair. Why? Because they all help in the assimilation of protein. (helps in the development of the baby) BUT hair is a by-product of protein. So, if you are not pregnant where do you think that will go? Right, into the production of hair and nails.
Just like everything else, moderation is the key. Too much of anything can make you sick. So follow directions and don't take a bunch thinking it will help. Most of what your body doesn't use will be flushed out of your system, but others accumulate. Don't make yourself sick by taking too much.
