i never really used any hair products and want to try. i have a REALLY thick wavy hair and i want to try to use hair gel. what is a good one that's gonna actually work and how do i use it?

I have 'twisted' my hair my entire life, and when my baby was only 3 months I noticed she was always running her fingers through her hair. Now, she's 20 months old and she completely 100% no mistakes about it, twists her hair! She even pulls a big strand of it into her mouth like I do (YUCK I know!!) we don't suck on it, just place it in between my lips. (We BOTH do it!!!)

I've wanted a perm since I was 10 because my hair is really thick because I don't have one but my mom won't let me have one because 2 of my friends got their hair ruined because of a perm.But most of my friends have perms and they don't have to worry about getting there hair thick all the time!

Ok, my hair is naturally frizzy and what I was told was to use CHI Flat Iron on my hair and then use CHI Silk Fusion after I'm done to keep my hair from drying out. But my thing is what if you can't afford all of that. Because I was looking online and all of this will cost me $159.00 and I really cant afford that right now. So is there anything out there that is cheaper that works just as good?

whenever i sweat some of my hair stiks up...its like so messed up/.....how can i keep it from doin that..without the hair straightner.

here are the conditions:

cheap. i mean really. less that $30. I am broke.
healthy for hair. either uses steam or wet-dry.
straightens really well.
dosen't take a long time.
can do multiple like curl, wave 2. but don't care.
looks cool. ok, i don't REALLY care about that

okay i asked a question earlier about how to lighten dark brown hair without making it turn orange or dieing/ highlighting/ bleaching it. (no chemicals!) & lemon drops dont really work with my hair color..so...i read from someone to put brewed ice tea in brown or red hair...anyone heard of this? because ima bout to do it..i dont kno if it will work out okay.,...and any other ideas?

my hair is really dark brown, not black but close. i want to lighten it but my mom wont let me get it colored/or highlited. i was wondering if you guys knew any natural ways to lighten it? i tried semi-perminant but it barly showed up because of my dark hair. i also tried lemon drops// but that did nto work too well either. i heard if u poured beer or olive oil it work... but i really dont want to poar beer in my hair. pleeease help!
