It's grown over. There is skin preventing me from getting to the root. Is there some way to not painfully get to the root so that I can pluck?

I scrub the area with sugar and soap (the cheaper way than an apricot scrub with the same results) and then wax it or tweeze it.If u continue scrubbing the a ingrown area twice every week ,you shall find ingrowth to be lesser

Use a tweezer but I think they sell cream to prevent ingrown hairs.. as to if they're good or not I have no idea!

put a hot compress on it to open up the follicle. don't put ointments or anything on it that will clog it up and not let it breathe.
