they say that if you trim your hair then it makes your hair grow faster, right? i don't see how that can be, because hair grows at the root and not at the ends. so why would split ends make a difference on how fast your hair grows? can anyone explain this?

I have curly (kinky) hair. I want to get it straightened permanantly but not very sure about it. Acutally I am toying between permanant hair straightening and relaxers. I got the hair straightened in Japanese style before but I didn't like the poker straight look.

How does hair look when relaxer is used? Can I wear it down? What is the level of damage caused with straightener and relaxer.

Has anyone got the curly hair relaxed and how do you feel about it?

I wear bandanas all the time! I hate my hair and I think I look a lot better in my bandanas. But recently I realized that, although my hair is growing, the sides are thinning and falling out. My mother and a couple of other people say its because I wear the bandanas too often. Anyone got any answers? Are they right?

last night my mom gave my aunt a perm and my aunt said is so dry. my aunt went to super cuts to get it trimmed and the lady said my aunts hair is going to fall out. what can my aunt do? i suggested burts bees avacado hair treatment... is there anything thatll ork) ((cheap please)

If you cut the under layer of hair a little shorter than the top layer does that make the ends turn under ?

I had a friend tell me that it did but I didn't know if she really knew. My hair is all one length about shoulder length. It is very straight but for some reason flips up on the ends. I wish it would turn under instead.

What hair product (Serum, mousse, etc) can I use to make my hair shiny without having to blow dry it? So it will still come out really nice.

I'm getting my hair done on Tuesday. I currently have side bangs, but they've grown out quite a lot. I really like Ashley Tisdale's hair, namely her deep sidebangs. If I wanted to get my bangs cut like that, other than bring a picture in, what should I tell my stylist I want?

I just colored my hair and need to know when is the color locked in. I know after you color it is so many hours before the color is locked in and if you wash it the color will not fade. My hair color is too dark. I would like to wash some of it out. How long do I have. I colored last night about 7p.m.

Please I really need some good advice. Don't need any smart answers.

I colored my hair last night and apparently bought the wrong color. I naturally have brown hair (betweeen light and dark). I used to color my hair a lighter color. Months ago I went back to brown and the color I got then I was very pleased with. I forgot the exact color I had bought. When I bought the color this time it made my hair tooooo dark. What color can I use to lighten it up a little.

I heard you can use L'oreal Casting color over top of recently colored hair but I wouldn't know what color to use.

Will not go to salon. Had a very bad experience will having my hair colored at salon.
