Actually, your hair won't grow any faster, because on the average, hair grows at about 1/2" a month. Period. Split ends don't make a difference on how fast your hair grows, but if you keep them trimmed, your hair tends to appear longer (and thicker). The longer your hair is, the ‘older’ the ends of it are. Everyday, wear and tear, such as sun, wind, blow drying, curling irons and other heat styling tools, even shampooing and brushing, all work together to gradually erode each hair. This eventually causes split ends that will, in turn, result in the hair breaking off -- and that's why you want to keep the ends trimmed.

it is true. very true. they say if u trim it 3 days b4 the full moon it would grow better too. I not to sure its tru but I do it anywayz.
because split ends damages ur hair and breaks it. This could make it fall or grow slower. If your continuously trimming your hair it will grow because you are takin care of the ends and by trimming it, it will grow thicker.

Split ends break off, therefore, a good trim off the ends and the ends won't as likely be splitting.

it doesnt....it just seems like it does.
when you have split ends, it doesnt look like your hair grows very fast because its always breaking off......if you get it trimmed regularly it will prevent split ends. what actually happens is your hair grows at the same rate, but with split ends it doesnt get any longer, it just breaks off.

well because eventaully the split ends can go all the way up to the root therefor causing your hair not to be healthy causing it not to grow.

it doesn't what will make your hair grow faster is better circulation. When you shampoo your hair give your self a head massage for 5 minutes and rinse your shampoo out with beer. It will make your hair extra shiny and soft. don't worry you can't smell the beer when your hair is dry
