Where did people get the idea that blonds are stupid?

I'm not yellow-haired/blonde, but jokes all over the net and some serious people says so. I was just wondering where it started, or if anyone knows. I know this is a stupid question, no need to remind me.

well here's the thing girls... nobody can sit here and say blonds are dumb because guess what there are stupid people everywhere, guess what color hair they shave..black. brown, red and yes blonds. For example yes Jessica Simpson is a dumb blonds... but look at Carmen Electra.. shes gorgeous but can act very ditsy. You see what I'm sayin` Now here is an example of smart blonds.. Faith Hill...Are you going to tell me she is dumb...c'mon.. Personally, i think it all has to do with jealousy. I mean i am a blond and I think dark hair is way prettier, but that's because i like dark features. It doesn't mean that I think blonds are dumb. Just except who you are and let go of the blond jokes..your only making yourself look stupid!

It started where blond hair actress and actors played a stupid part in the movie. Now people thinks it is fun to make in front of blonde's's. I am a dish wash blonde, but I am very smart. I graduated high school in three in half years cause I had all of my credits for high school.

seriously jealous brunettes, no offense... but they didnt like the fact that when peroxide "first came out".. think movie star era, decades ago..... all these women were going beautiful white starlett blonde... and because it was "new" got SOOOOOOO MUCH attention by MEN an dthe MEDIA!!!!!!!!!!! they became literal STARS overnight and for no other reason than the blonde hair...... (hence they are "dumb" if their blonde hair in the reason).. yes they are talented actresses and such BUT its the BLONDE that catapulted them to the top!!!!!... and as a brunette, they arent as noticed or known...........
Marilyn Monroe was nearly as known until she bleached her hair!!!!!!!!!!! also Britney Spears, MADONNA!!!! and many others (Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton)... the list goes on forever... most people can name famous blondes faster than name famous brunettes.... even SHAKIRA started out with black hair..America didnt know of her then..........
even J Lo.... became more famous when she lightened her locks..... Beyonce!!!!!! so see, it crosses all ethnic boundaries now........ yet its only when the woman is CAUCASIAN WHITE..... that they are called "dumb blondes"
the bad image of slutty trash blonde (Christina Aguilera etc) is also rampant... they do not carry themselves with any class. and happen to be blonde. it just looks BAD!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know where it started but A lot of Blonds are dumb.

One of my friends is a blond...and you would think that someone dropped her on her head when she was a baby.

My dad is blind. He just turned 80 and lost his eye sight a few years ago.

She said this after seeing my dad for the first time.
"You said your dad was blind?"
"Yeah, he is."
"But he has eyes!"

I took her to see Star Wars episode 3 and during the scene when Anakin killed the Jedi children she said this to me.
"Ahhh that is so romantic! He killed children for her!"

Maybe I should try to dye her hair black. Maybe she try to act smarter.

PEOPLE GET THAT IDEA BECAUSE OF THE IMAGE ALOT OF BLONDS PORTRAY.

I work with many blonds and they still act like they are new to company even though they were there for about 3 or 4 years now. And Jessica Simpson................... forget about it!!

i know the stereotype happened long before her time but people like jessica simpson just help fuel the fire. i am a true blonde and hear so many blonde jokes that i could puke, that is why i died my hair brown.
