Beauty & Style - 30 May 2007

I have been wearing acrylic nails for the past 5 years and rarely get fills, I just get a new set. Well, I'm having a baby in the next month so I want to stop wearing the acrylics. I took them off about a week ago, and now my nails are splitting, so I keep clipping them short .. but they are very dry. How can I get moisture and strength to them? I don't plan on having acrylics for at least the next 6 months.

you can make your skin lighter by washing your face with milk or putting lemon juice on it daily. are there natural recipes like that to make my skin darker without tanning or using fake tanners??

I went from dark to strawberry blonde, been that for 15 years ....... decided to go back to brown......didn't like it......trying to go back to the strawberry blonde...... I have been starting out with auburns and lighting as I go........I used herbal essance box hair coloring and the top part of my head is a dark orange and my ends are a different color...... how can I correct this? pretty much from my ears up I'm one color and from my ears down another....... On the America's Next Top Model, the ladies who are trying to make it in the Modeling Industry were really skinny. Is this something that is becoming the new "beautiful"? When you see an actress who is losing a large amount of weight, the first thing you see in the magazines is that they are "anorexic". Why is it a must to be super skinny as a model, but any normal person would be called " anorexic"?

For the past 4-months, I've been going to the salon to get my nails filled (solar). I am just getting tired of the maintenance, time, and cost it takes to keep them up. I don't want them to just grow out and wait till they fall off, that would take a while and would not look very decent (I work in a professional office). How do I remove the nails safely and without damage or going to the salon myself to have them removed?

The first time I had to take it out... The second time it was ripped out (along with some of my flesh)... the scar is very tiny and I think there is enough skin to get it redone. I really would like to cover the scar.

He has a big mop of curly red hair. He's a great son. "A++" in school. "A" as a big-brother/son(not + because he is often the third parent in our house). He wants "the mop" because he is a sport-a-holic(soccer, hockey, football...).
I know in the grand scheme of things that this is a battle probably not worth fighting, but he is starting to look like Chucky from Rugrats.

I love designer clothing. I love designers like Ella Moss, Rebecca Beeson, Laundry, BCBG, Splendid, Hudson, Seven for All Man Kind, etc.
