The first time I had to take it out... The second time it was ripped out (along with some of my flesh)... the scar is very tiny and I think there is enough skin to get it redone. I really would like to cover the scar.

I did take very good care of it when I had it... the first time I took it out was because of an infection because it ALMOST got ripped out. The second time, it was rejecting and I accidently ripped it out with a shower sponge (THAT HURT!) But it was never a matter of not taking care of it...

i`ve been thru the same experience myself...i had my navel pierced 4x before & it was never good...for some reason, my body just rejects this piercing, so i`ve given up on having it, altho i luv the way it looks!!! u need to make sure that the piercer goes underneath your scar tissue if u decide to have it done again, as otherwise it may get ripped out yet again, which is certainly no fun!!! but there`s a possibility your body will not accept the piercing, which is what happened to me...good luck!!!

Go see a pro piercer and they can decide if it's ok to be re-done. They have a lot of training and experience, so they know best. You said the first time you had to take it out... keep in mind these are surface piercings and often reject... also have you been keeping up with aftercare? I don't want to sound like mom lol but piercing needs a lot of upkeep, patience, and ultimately it is a responsibility...

Were the first two piercings done by a professional?

Have a pro or a doctor do the piercing. And try using a different type of metal for the ring. Maybe you were allergic to the material and that was why it was rejected.

It is possible to get it done a third time without any problems. My mom recently had hers pierced a third time (after a year of healing) and as long as she's using sea salt to clean it, there's no problems. Also, it is really important that you make sure the person you go to is a certified piercer as well.

Belly-Button piercings are tacky and out of style now.

And I think it's a sign that you're not meant to have one if somethings happened to it twice now.

No. Twice you tried and twice it had problems. It's telling you that it's not a good place for you to pierce.
