Try a hair lotion. Let it dry naturally. It should be softer. Another thing you can do is condition it with hair "cholesteral". It usually comes in a tub.

Giovanni Organic Hair Care makes a natural mousse that is air-turbo charged. It contains no alcohol and uses a variety of plant extracts. It works great!!! I bought mine at Whole Foods but I'm sure you can find it at a beauty supply store.

I'm a big fan of Aveda spray waxes. They don't make your hair look greasy. They add texture to your hair that looks really natural and beachy. You can find it at aveda.com. The products smell great. Good Luck!

Use a hair spray, just a little, the kind that you can brush through. Alberto Vo-5 makes a good one called Brush-Out hairspray.

there are a lot of non- aerosol, water based spritz like l'oreal and garnier available at stores, these can be used to style ur hair. they are non sticky, easy to comb thru and leave ur hair soft.

u can also try hair serums...
one by charles wothington and john freida are particularly good, but these are to give control and shine to ur hair not to style them...
