2. Don't most grocery stores photo labs adopt the policy of not developing inappropriate pictures (ex. nude pictures of legal girls).

When I take pictures and download them from my camera they come out 'wallpaper' sized. How can I make them smaller, I don't have photoshop but would like to resize the photos so they are easily printable.

I've seen some really cute prints done of a boy & girl in black/white with splashes of color. I don't know who the artist is, but I've seen tons of these prints. Does anyone know who the artist is?

Also, I haven't taken any photography classes, and I guess this is where I should start. I just don't know how to get started. What's a good camera to start with? Right now I've got a cheap Sony Cyber shot. I'd really like to learn how to do black/white/with color!! Is this done with editing software? Any recomendations??

Its kind of photoshopped. I don't know if its too photoshopped for my liking, but i kind of like it. What do you guys think? Or is it a bit vain if i were to use it as my display picture?

And sorry to ask this, as it is one of the most annoying questions but i really must ask, do you think i'm pretty? Might be a bit hard to tell as this picture is funny coloured.

I was wondering if there are any places that want scenic photographers that photograph scenery or weather (like lightning) for postcards and whatever and that pays for the photos. Any suggestions?

I just bought the Nikkor 18-200mm lens a week ago. I like the lens so far, but it creates a darkened spot in the same place on all my images.

Sometimes the spot is a bit smaller and more defined (towards the 18mm side), and sometimes its larger and lighter (towards the 200mm side), but it's always there. (on a few images there are three spots!!).

At first I thought it was lens flare, or a hot spot, but I don't think it is. I can see the spot through the viewfinder at all times. I will upload two or three example images.

I don't know if it's some sort of dirt in the lens, or if I should return the lens to get fixed.
If anyone has any suggestions I would GREATLY appreciate them!

Thanks a bunch.
Naomi

I'm an award-winning filmmaker and photographer (nothing huge), but I am just now switching over to the new technology and I can see that I am going to need some help! Anybody know of any good websites, books, or organizations that can assist the newbies at this game? Also, any personal advice from those that are experienced at this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

btw: I just bought Quick Time Pro (for Macs), and I plan on getting Final Cut Express sometime later. I plan on getting the cheapest HD camera that will work for me. I've been using "iMovie" to make basic DVDs, but I know I want to get more advanced than what its basic features offer.
