How do you make a collage using photoshop? I want the background to be a solid color such as black and then add pictures on top of it. Thank you

Create a new layer. Then move it to be "at the bottom" of your layers.

Select the paint can.
Then click one of the two color frames, which will open up the color selector. Select black. Click Ok.

Position the paint can tool into the document, making sure you're on that blank layer you created. Click in that layer, and the layer will turn black.

Then create new layers for each picture or item you want to be in your collage. Use the arrow tool to move them around in position.

You may end up having many layers and it can get cumbersome, but you'll have plenty of control over changes in your collage.

Select New from the File menu and a box opens and you select the size and you get the option to color that page, then you cut and paste. Depending on your version,
Photoshop 4,5,6,7,8 CS, CS2,CS3. Almost any of Adobes programs will allow you to do it.
