I have been nominatted to the 2007 International Society of Photographers. It is in las Vegas & i can't attend. who knows what will happen. I checked everywhere to see where i can ask that on the sute & i cant find it.

I am a new painter and I'd like to show my work in L.A. I paint on large canvases, but I wasn't sure how many I would need to really make a good show. I was thinking 25 large paintings. Any ideas?

I bought 10 art prints of various non-standard sizes, some like 10X17 some larger like 22x26 or something. I can't afford to frame them (I was quoted $200+ per print to frame), what are some cheaper alternatives that I can do myself? (and I don't mind building/cutting/glueing I just don't know where/what to buy) Thanks

I'd like to start a company that sells t-shirts and other apparel that have direct heat transfer or screen printed graphics, embroidery, etc on them. I'd like to have different brands and sell them online as well as to retailers both locally and nationwide (in the US). I've listed some detailed questions and information below: 1- I would like to find out more information on the different methods of putting graphics onto apparel, their strengths and weaknesses, the differences in each method, which method is appropriate for a certain graphic or expected quality and so on. I've done some research on the internet but I'd like to have much more information. Any book, website, video etc recommendations are welcome. 2- I would also be interested in learning more about the business/industry and learn more about specific companies in particular (www.tshirthell.com, Drifter, Affliction, House of Howe, Express, Monarchy, Vurt, and Element).

Here's the situation: I sell custom portraits via eBay occassionally. This is the wording on my auctions:
Send me a photo of your choice and I will create an 8x10" portrait using Prismacolor pencils, watercolor and ink.
I also explain that I need a high resolution photo and that I will send a email preview as soon as it's done. I offer optional shipping insurance as well as offering to answer any questions as quickly as possible.
I had a recent customer whose portrait (despite packaging it in a padded envelope and cardboard) was damaged during shipping. She was very happy with the portrait (said it was stunning) except for the tear on one of the faces. She opted out of shipping insurance, so I felt that a partial refund was more then fair, however she wouldn't send me photo proof of the damage. So she went to Paypal and filed a claim. They told her to go get a quote for repair from her local art shop. The people at the art shop looked at it very closely and...

I love the dragon in the new movie Eragon. Her name is Saphira. I was wondering if anyone was able to draw for me a picture of her, that looks real! I wanted to get this tattooed on myself, but I have yet to find anyone who can draw well. I love dragons, but I don't feel they should look fake and cartoonish. This particular dragon in the movie is strong and fearce, but at the same time gentle and caring. I would love to have a sketch/picture drawn up that resembles a real looking dragon, and I just loved Saphira from the movie Eragon.

I have a CRT Monitor 19 inch. I just use Photoshop. How can I make it to where - print colors will match the screen colors when I print - I'm using a digital printer or a desktop HP printer. I work in CMYK?
