What are some commission rates paid on artwork sold on consignment in Milwaukee,WI?

I'd like to know if there are any Standard commissions paid on artwork sold in galleries in Milwaukee,WI,on a consignment type arrangement.If not Standard,then maybe some rates that some of you are being paid right now.

One thing I know, is not about Milwaukee but I think it's general practise : galleries invest a lot of money in displaying and advertising your works (exposing, inauguration, etc.) and they can take up to 50, even 60 percent of the sales price.
Also don't forget that when your artwork is sold by a gallery you get an official rating as an artist, which allows you in turn to sell at higher prices, so maybe it's worth it.
