I am a guy and I own a digital camera, and I like to take it with me most places I go and take pictures of friends, me, and scenery...do you think this is girly or makes me seem gay?

I do not beleive your are homophobic OR shallow. I think that you probably see you are one of very FEW guys that brings cameras to gatherings, or a party or whatever. I also think it's POSSIBLE a few 'tough guys' may have made comments. But you know what? They are probably the first ones to want to see the pictures later, right? Keep bringing your camera, keep taking pictures, and have fun with it.

I have never thought of cameras as a reflection of sexual preference. My daughter prefers a 35mm camera while I bought a sophisticated digital camera. Both take great pictures but I like to email mine. To specifically answer your question: NO, I do not think a digital camera is girly or makes you seem gay.

NO!!! Not at all. I am female and I love to take pictures. My Friend he loves to take pictures and it doesn't seem gay. It is not girly at all. I think i guy w/ a camera is pretty hot LOL

What! No way! I have two D80 digital cameras and I always carry at least one with me. ( Of course I do weddings on the week end so does that make me gay? LOL!! ) Don't worry what others think. If anyone ask me if I'm gay I justsay "Ask my pretty wife".

By this rationale I guess every photographer in the porno industry is gay as well as every wartime photo journalist and car racing photographer. If your friends are indeed harassing you they better watch it, photographers typically have a more steady aim when shooting firearms.

heck no. My photography teacher is a guy, and married. He's not gay. Plus I know lots of male photographers. Even if thats not what you want to do with your life, its cool.
