I bought 10 art prints of various non-standard sizes, some like 10X17 some larger like 22x26 or something. I can't afford to frame them (I was quoted $200+ per print to frame), what are some cheaper alternatives that I can do myself? (and I don't mind building/cutting/glueing I just don't know where/what to buy) Thanks

Ok, GO to Micheal's craft store and they have lovely inexpensive frames. If you find them on sale ( Like during the holidays they were 50% off) you can get even better deals. While you are there you can find matting unless you find better deals on very thick boards of it and cut your own. Depending on the sizes and styles of the prints you can mount them and frame them with out matting and they will still look fabulous.

I buy frames at thrift stores for about $1 or $2 dollars. It doesn't matter if it is the right size for your print; glue the print on a larger peice of tagboard with a can of spraymount. Cut the tagboard the size of the frame and you will have a nice border around the print.

Try hunting around for old frames at a thrift shop or garage sales. They can be repainted (all black, or all silver, if you like that look). Old frames can also be cut down with a mitre saw. For a mat, you could use fabric covered cardboard in a complimentry color. Or buy some matboard and attach the prints with double-sided tape.

You can go to an arts and crafts place and they will have frames for about 9 dollars..all you have to frame it with your own 2 hands. If you want place mats or a border..thats gonna cost some more money.

When I hear "animal print" I instantly thing of a tight cheetah dress on a drunk girl in a club. It's definitely not classy but I think jeans with a zebra pattern printed on them is not TERRIBLE though. But nothing more than that. I hate circle patterns or shirts with little swirls, I get dizzy.

Just stick your photo on a large sheet of coloured card. If one is not big enough then use more. Then stick your card on the wall with blu-tack. If you use the right colour card, it looks quite effective.
