I have been doing street photograpy for a while now but I have always done it in color and I realize some others have (Helen Levitt's and Esther Bubley's color work for example; or Alex Webb) but it seems most people seem to think that it still has to be done in b&w to be considered "artistic". Examples of my work can be found in the link below.

I am doing a fact sheet as a project in Word 2003 and I have a block that I have a photo in the left corner and I would like to put part of the header at the right side of the photo and at the bottom of it. The header is long and it would just look better to have it at the side instead of a two line header at the bottom of the photo.
Any help out there?

There is a very familiar painting (possibly German) of a scene in a 13th or 14th century bakery. Several people are working on bread at various stages, e.g. kneading the dough, placing it in the oven, removing bread from the oven, etc.
Can you please identify this picture?

I went to the opening of it today and met the authors. It was cool and I was just wondering if anyone has heard of the project or is going.

what are the advantages to using either one and which would you recommend?

I want to try to make a collage painting of all the things that inspire me by using different mediums (newspaper, cloth, metal, etc), but i dont know what will be a better choice oil or acrylic...
Im exploring and i dont want to spend a lot of money on something i wish i knew more about. I would be painting on canvas.

Thank You!

Have you bought into the digital camera hype? Spending more for per actual printed picture than film? The majority of people probably delete more pictures in a week than they ever took with film. How many of us even print our work anymore? Has the "keeper" ratio increased with digital? Or has consumerism won again? Has digital positively improved your photographic skills? Will we lose our photgraphic history to crashed hard drives and unstable backup media? Rhetorical, I bought a DSLR last March.

I have a hollow clay egg with a lid. I have to add things to it to give it a personality- possibly make it an animal, a person, or something. I'd be adding in clay legs or a base or whatever. It has to be able to still function as a vessel (open the lid) and resemble an egg.

One of my favorite artists is Heronim Wysocki. Also known as Harry, he is the brother of Charles Wysocki and most noted for painting Hometown Collection 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles. Both of the Wysockis paint in the same style. The exception is that Charles uses varying degrees of detail in his work, from almost cartoon-like, to vividly detailed. Charles' famous cat paintings are among his most detailed works. Jane Wooster Scott is another artist who paints in the same style as the Wysockis. There are many other artists who use this same style, but as far as I know, the Wysockis and Wooster Scott are the top names in this art style. If you are unfamiliar with any of these artists, just google their names and you'll find plenty of photos. They usally paint in a two dimensional perspective, depicting quaint country farm life, of the past, and often portray Amish settings, as well.

My question is: Who was the first artist to make this style of art popular within approx' the past 15 years?

I have to critique a photograph, Moon and Half Dome by Ansel Adams, and am having a lot of trouble figuring out how I am suppose to critique this photograph. Its not a painting, and it has no color, nor a lot to look at. I am so confused!
