If you can get some casting gauze, simply rub vaseline on your face, to prevent it from sticking, dip strips of the gauze in water, and lay them on your face. You may need a few layers. Then let them dry (time for this varies--- usually no more than 30-40 minutes or so when I tried) and peel off the mask.

Don't do this with a cold. I did, and it was gross. It's awful when you can't blow your nose.

A really cheap way to make a mask mold is to crush up newspapers into a face shape and about two inches deep. Tape it with masking tape until you think it is about the shape and depth you need. Then take a plastic grocery bag and tape that around the newspaper. This will prevent the paper mache from sticking to the mold. I have a powerpoint lesson plan on this process.

ya, you make the paper mache solution and cut some strips of newspaper. put vaseline on the person's face and lay the strips after soaking them in the paper mache liquid. remember to leave some space to breathe!

There is a product called Rigid Wrap that is very good for maskmaking. It is plaster gauze. You just dip in water to use.

And don;t forget to lubricate any facial hair, including eyebrows.
