Digital Graphics/ 3d computer animation?

Question

i want to know what would be the best college to go and learn 3d computer animation, i want to be making movies like shrek or like toy story ( i live in tx so if its close to here, it would be nice) i have some experience with maya; 3d studio max; photoshop; illustrator.... soooo yeah please and thank you

Here are some links discussing design schools, go to a school that offers several areas of design that way you can choose electives that will balance your area of expertise maybe even pick another area to get an Associate degree while earning your Bachelor degree. I would recommend Animation for BA degree and Gaming Design for Associate Degree. ;) Good Luck.

As someone who manages a 3D department and employs 3D artists, I have to tell you that it doesn't really matter where you go. Pick a place that you can afford and that has classes in the software that you want to use. Then put in as much time as you can learning the software: don't just do the assignments, read up on your own and use the lab time as much as you can, really push yourself. It's a competitive business, and the ones who work the hardest will be the ones who move forward. Talent is nothing but hard work and practice—don't get it in your head that you may or may not have it. Hone it.
