I just got a new camera so I'm in "Take Photos Of Everything!" mode, and I decided to get some shots of the Christmas decorations in a shopping centre. I'm always careful to get no people in the photos because I know that can cause problems, and sometimes I post the shots on the Internet, and I know I wouldn't want my ugly mug on the Internet without my permission. Anyway, I'd taken a few pictures and I was just taking another one, when this guy who looked like he worked there yelled "Excuse me!" from the escalator and made this wave, like 'Stop that please'. So I put the camera away and left, to take pictures of pigeons or something instead.

My question is, what was his problem? Is there a rule against taking pictures in shopping centres? Not even in the shops, just out on the mall floor? If there is, I won't do it, but I'd like to know for sure. I guess I need to find out the rules now I have my own camera.

I have been thinking about this one for a long time. At school we learn that the primary colors are red, yellow and blue, and from these 3 we can mix them up to make all the other colors. So where does the green come from on a TV screen or computer screen?

I have a painting that my Grandmother did about 50 years ago. It has a lot of cracking in the paint. How can I restore it and protect it from further damage. I don't think this is a DIY project. Where could I take this to get it taken care of at low cost? I was thinking maybe the art dept. at a college? Ideas?
Thanks!

I have an adult son with an autistic disorder (Asperger Syndrome), who is extremely talented in drawing , but cannot find work in this field because of his disability, how do we go about getting his talent noticed,so that he could earn a living doing this. He has college qualifications in advanced art & design.

This will sound like something that couldn't be true, but it is. My friends found an oil painting thrown away at the local dumpsters. They brought it home thinking it was pretty and the frame looked to have some value. They invited me over to see their "find". I have a degree in art and this is a genuine oil that is VERY well done. This is no dime store oil. The canvas and frame show signs that it is quite old, both looking to have been hand made. The signature is "P Bouchard" with no date. It is a pastoral scene with oxen pulling a hay wagon. The scenery and style do not look American. How can I help them find out if this painting has any value? I could email someone a photo of it and close up of the signature. Thanks for any help.
