I am planning a dinner party and I would like to use silver and another color.

silver is not a color. it's a metallic shade.
so you could go black or white (or both)
Or add a color, don't go with anything warm or bright. silver is a hero. so you'll need base colors, like rich deep purple, or navy blue....

You can put just about any color you like with silver.

I love the color silver and silver/red are my school colors so...either dark red or black would look nice.

I think purple is the best, and of course black, but I also think lighter shades of any color can look good with silver.

gold has yellow tones in it and pink is the contrasting color to yellow, yet when the gold has different tones in it make constructive you develop into attentive to the single which stands proud the most then bypass from there...also gold is warmth so bypass with a funky color to make it stand out and silver may have many tones in it, although that's a funky/chilly color so %. a warmth color to evaluation it even as contrasting hues are aspect through aspect they make eachother pop. so in the journey that your having hassle, study the gold and silver with different hues and also you'll see what color would ideal be their compliments. gold and silver are off the colour wheel, so that you cant rlly bypass incorrect with it, yet gold=warm so contrasting color ought to be cool, and silver=chilly so contrasting color needs to be warm reliable good fortune!!

Gosh, almost anything, really.
White or blue look nice if you want a "cool, frosty" look.
Purple or maroon will give you a "regal" look.
Orange or yellow could help you pull off a "modern retro" look.
Green or red would give you a "holiday" look.

I'm doing silver and red for my wedding. I think they go well together.
