Only if you're doing giant sculptures

it would depend on your definition of what sculpture is. in some cases yes I have one that is 2800 square feet but I still do small works from time to time and most of my work could have been done in a small room but after several hundred pieces and the need for different equipment, storage and material collection you fine out that you need more space rather quickly. try small things first and see if you find them pleasing and satisfying before you tackle something really big

No, not really. My work is all life size (human figures) and the room I work in is only about 6x8 or so. It would all depend on the size of your piece, material you use, how many pieces your going to do at once, and storage. I use clay and metal, and I normally have at least three pieces going at the same time. Don't let space stop you from doing the work......You'll find a way.
Hope this helps.
