there any drawing programs out there that could help me? The pictures don't have to be elaborate so any program that is moderately easy to learn and use will be of great help. Thanks.

When it comes to art, the UK patent office website says:

"The creator of the work will be the author and first owner and copyright will last for life of the author plus 70 years.

Copyright is, however, a form of intellectual property which, like physical property, can be bought or sold, inherited or otherwise transferred, wholly or in part. So, some or all of the economic rights may subsequently belong to someone other than the first owner."

For the artists I've mentioned and those like them, the 70 year rule has expired but has anyone else taken over the copyright of their works?

I've seen numerous prints of paintings by these artists, as well as books, t-shirts, mugs etc that are based on one or more paintings of those I've mentioned, all available to buy in various shops and on-line.

Did the people selling these products have to ask for permission to use them commercially or are the works of these artists available to the public to be used by anyone in any way?

I'm thinking of putting together an art portfolio of different things to get into design school. I am a beginner with no formal design background, but can draw and paint pretty well.

Seeking help from design-school-goers and designers..

Thanks!

From memory the info I have is it was sent to the English King from the Monarchy of France. Looked very fine detailed art painting, but above their heads, running from left to right of painting, there was a blurry creamy swirly mess of paint.

However when you took a few steps to the right, the blurry mess exploded out from the painting as a 3D realistic skull of death.

I think it was a warning against breaking ties from the Vatican.

Would love to see that painting again, or a photographic representation.

Thanks.

I have a lacquered wood wall hanging from the 1960s or 1970s. On it is a painting of a woman with her hair blowing in the wind and a butterfly. It is signed, "STOVEKEN". The colors are all shades of brown with black outlines. I have conducted considerable internet research and cannot find out anything about this artist The piece is absolutley beautiful, and I expect that there is more art by this artist out there. I know very little about where the piece was purchased, but it is likely to be from California. The piece was given to me, and I would like to buy another like it. Please help me find out who Stoveken was and where I can find more art by this talented artist.

I will post a link to some pictures of the piece soon.
