there any drawing programs out there that could help me? The pictures don't have to be elaborate so any program that is moderately easy to learn and use will be of great help. Thanks.

If you look in your computer, you do have clip art in there somewhere.

There are plenty of programs available for free. Many commercial programs offer free trials from their products but then there is whole world of Open Source available.

See at least Gimp and InkScape. Gimp is a Photoshop like image manipulation program and InkScape is more like a drawing and vector graphics program. even OpenOffice has some drawing tools

There are also available many different sorts of 3D modelling and rendering tools that might help you. Like 'Blender', 'Art Of Illusion' or 'Wings3D'.
Basically you can create anything with these programs. It's only up to your imagination what you are able to produce..
