I made a vase the other day and when i was filling it up with water, it started soaking through then leaking out the bottom. I baked it in the oven for about 30 minutes at 400 degrees. I let it dry overnight then tryed filling it up the next day. What could be the problem or a solution?

Cornstarch clay needs to be waterproofed. You could use a waterproof varnish, but it's hard to get the whole interior coated.

Here's an easy effective method used for Raku, pottery which is very porous. Melt some parrafin wax (used for home canning, you can get it in the grocery store) and pour into the vase while tilting and turning the vase in order to coat the entire inside surface. Allow to cool, voila - it's waterproof! You only need to coat the inside.

You've probably ruined it. You have to glaze it inside and out. Corn starch is soluble in water.
