I have been involved in theater since I was fourteen. However, when I got to college, I found myself questioning my choice of career. I feel trapped: I don't want to give up theater because I am hoping that there may be something I can still enjoy; though I am interested in other subjects besides theater (sociology, psychology, etc). I feel pressure to be interested in theater and nothing else, and it is quite frustrating, making me want to withdraw and go elsewhere. Frankly I have no confidence in what I am pursuing. Any advice?

It may sound weird, but I'm practicing for a speech that I have to say infront of a live audience and I would like to hear how my tone and voice sounds like. If anyone knows, thanks! But if there isn't then oh well!

p.s. I couldn't really find a category to categorize my question with.

I am writing a script and want to know, when they are directing the actual movie, would I have help with the ideas of locations, situations, people, actors, plots? Or is the screenwriter in charge of all that?

Dear Everyone,

This is a call for everyone, especially where it is most needed, to gather together for world peace and say no to corruption. This is a request that everyone do what ever they can to get the media back to the PEOPLE. MAY PEOPLE FLOOD THE STREETS IN PROTEST until the media is controlled by the people as it should be. Speak up because TOGETHER we are the world. One world, one people.

Anyone who questions this might want to read Manufacturing Consent, a short book by Noam Chomsky. Anyone who doubts the power of the people with peaceful protest, please refer to the recent revolution in Nepal that freed them from their usurping king. Everyday these people flocked to the streets though the entire country was under curfew, braving tear gas, bullets, imprisonment, bamboo sticks and threats. The spirit of the people refused to give up and they WON but not by doing nothing.

Please forward this message and may this letter continue until media and world peace are free.

I have my first audition for a lead in a feature film, but my experience is mostly in stage. Do I need to memorize the sides? Is there anything I should know before going into the audition? Is there usually a camera at the first audition? Anything I should or shouldn't wear? I'm thinking of jeans and a blazer (the part is for a business woman). Any tips specific to film would be great!
