In case of any problem of any kind only one question is relevant, only one question is meaningful, only one question has any importance to your soul: What would love do now? (love of self in the first place).

I read it in a book, what you think of it?

people who have not taken the time to learn what philosophy is, when they ask questions they THINK are philosophical?
I try to educate them--sometimes. I tell them to read the Syntopicon. The history of philosphic thought cannot be more concise or shorter than the Syntopicon.
Most of the time I ignore such questions. Sometimes I get irate. I prefer to educate than ignore or get mad, but there is so much ignorance on the subject of philosophy that often we are asked to do the homework for the questioner.
It fills me with fear, sometimes, to see such ignorance on the one topic that everyone should have a working knowledge of.

Why would he make my life misrebale despite everything ive done for people around me? I mean I dont expect to get anything in return from those around me ,but man why do I get sh*t on by everyone? You know what GOD dosent exist. Its just those around us who use us for support and then claim that God was the one who "saved us" . When are people going to learn that all you have is those people around you who you have. And some of us have nobody!! Im not an athiest or anything I just dont believe that there is some guy out there thats able to control our live and that "works in misterious ways"

If in reality, there are no whole numbers. What is a 'whole' is in constant flux(even if too small to actually measure) in relation to time.
Don't know if this is a question for math or philosophy

Man hides behind The Mask of Sanity

But Socrates saw the truth and found the answer to answer all questions in existence.

Every tomorrow is a blank page....our lives are written on a pages that will never be read, for every page is thrown away.- Shades of Sorrow

Blank plus Blank is Blank.
Blank minus Blank is Blank.
Blank times Blank is Blank.
Blank divided by Blank is Blank.
All Blank that is, is Blank.
All Blank that isn't, is Blank.
Blank is Blank.
Blank is perfection. .......

I want to thank everyone’s contribution. I am happy that you guys gave this question a go. I know that there is no one right answer. This question may not require any thinking at all but actually our imaginations to answer it for us.

For me, this question talks about water. Water as precious as of all the elements in the world symbolizes spirituality. Water like many of us goes where things take them, they like to go with the flow and follow things. This can be bad for ones self-identification and their lack of individuality. People who live on nothing but water are craving for affection from others. They want to be acknowledged and loved. However, it is not about other people’s love we should seek first to be like water but to love one self before you can begin seeking love.

I would like to hear from all of your opnions !

Take my life for instance. I went to lower level school for over 13 years. Now, I am in college and feel burnt out. I sometimes question if all of what I did is worth it.

In the old days, one would find a profession early in life and focus on that. One would focus on the art of shoemaking for instance. The person would not shift between learning about math and science. Life was pretty much planned out.

What do you think are the pros and cons of a simple life like what I described?

When the clouds that hide the face of the moon are wafted by the winds, the moon shines clear and cool; so too, when the clouds of egoism are wafted away, the mind of man shines - pure and full, with its own native brillance

Well, one day, when our toilet was empty, I went outside and brought up a few bricks that were out back of our building and put them in our toilet...then when our 19 year old son woke up, I told him that Dad must have **** a few bricks and forgot to flush....he laughed his head off. Does anyone think that would be a great prank to do at a party?

Those who believe that there is no external purpose of life, i.e. from God, still must find some reason for living. Disregarding God, I would think that evolution must be the process by which we are forced to invent these reasons for living. Since evolution is a natural process and has no goal or purpose in mind, how do we logically select a reason for living that will satisfy this non-rational, evolution-provided demand? We can't argue or negotiate or even have an intelligent conversation with evolution.

So do we go through some list of things to do and try to pick out by feelings what we think will work? Save the whales? Save the snails? Save the ...

This morning you might have gone to the temple , but later in the morning treated your servent like a second class citzen.you might beat your wife for not producing a son
You might have gone to the mosque yet will steal from your neighbour or tell lies for your own needs.
You might have gone to church and then gone out to rob or visit a brothel with your wife at home.
Why ask forgivness from god when it is your family that is real and is the one you hurt.
