The treatment for vitamin B12-deficient anemia was first devised by William Murphy who bled dogs to make them anemic and then fed them various substances to see what (if anything) would make them healthy again. He discovered that ingesting large amounts of liver seemed to cure the disease. George Minot and George Whipple then set about to chemically isolate the curative substance and ultimately were able to isolate the vitamin B12 from the liver. All three shared the 1934 Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Dear comrades,

Animal farm is in crisis! It's time that we break our chains. It has come to my attention that our so call pig leaders have mistreated us for too long. They have broken several commandments, and it is time we put them on trial. They are living in houses, sleeping in beds, wearing clothes, engaging in trade with humans, and using money. Do you want to continue with these pig leaders who close the doors to the freedom we deserve? If I am elected as leader, you will be guided under my wings of freedom and bells of liberty. "No animal in England is free. The life of an animal is misery and slavery: this is the plain truth" (28). No, my fellow comrades, ring the bell of freedom.

Animal farm is in crisis because we are allowing pigs to have control over us with their abusive power. As your leader, I will bring good living conditions to all of us. I will not lie or make any false promises by saying equality will be accomplished. What I can promise is that as leader of Animal Farm, I will lead by obeying. I will not have us continuing to livei n misery. My fellow animals it is time to break our chains! Are you with me? Stand with freedom! Our pig leaders are acting like humans. Should we take orders from humans? No! "Reomve man from the secene and the rest cause of hunger and overwork is abolished."

What's wrong with saying Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays? It's getting very ridiculous because the holiday's are based on the birth of Jesus Christ our saviour. It's becoming very stupid because there's no commerials or anything drawing the costumers into the stores. Now, it's like a ghost town everywhere you go. What happen to the spirit of the Lord. Just because a set of people don't believe in God doesn't mean that it should be spoiled for the rest. In essence, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

How does using one's memories help create a true sense of self, as opposed to relying on the opinions of others? I have gone into a self-philosophical argument about this and was curious to hear what others think.

Basically, I am asking how memories create a sense of unique identity by which each person can truly define himself/herself, but how people generally do not rely on memories but instead, through their self-consciousness, rely on others to drive their actions.

What are your thoughts on this?

I strongly believe in God.I don't like religion because of religious conflict in my country. My little brother and I were victim of religious discrimination when we were young. Being free from any religion give me the strengh to listen respectfuly to any one no matter what their believes are. It also took away the hate that I should feel against the people who humiliate me because of my parents religion and because i was baptismed in thier Church. I was only a kid so I had no choice. I am just looking for the Gospel so religion does not matter to me as long as I try to live life as good as I can. I try to follow the rules in he bible too. What will you call someone like me? I have no negative feelings against those who choose to practice a religion. Please I don't need you to preach me on the right and wrong of my choice. it ain't gonna make me change my mind. Just answer my queston.

begin to know oneself until the age of 30. My question is does any man here [on this earth] truly knoweth himself? And "knowing oneself"--is there some other implication? Does it have to do with spirituality or something else? Or a combination of things? Like the phrase high school is the best four years of your life has a meaning that goes further than what the undeveloped mind perceives it to mean. So, is there something more when we speak of "knowing oneself"? Does it mean knowing the world's reality, your responsibility within it, and the essence of what makes you and others human and real? Is there a greater understanding to "knowing oneself?" And does it really mean to know oneself or does it mean to know others?

Do you know yourself? Is it possible for any man to discern who he really is? Is there a divinity within each one of us? Is our true self the essence of love or godliness? Do you even know?
