I'd call you a 'Very Decent Human Being'. You seem to have realised that organized religions and religious conflicts do more harm to humans than good...May there be more tolerant people like you in this world. Why do you want labels???

Same as me.
Well...you know what? Since we don't have a religion, we can call ourselves any noun we wish to call us. It doesn't matter anyway. Those previous definitions (theist, agnostic, baby christians, etc) already have common connotations and qualities associated with them, which I know I'm not!
Good question. It made me think. Now...how should I call myself? Hmmm.... Maybe by my own name???
To Jjinero: My thoughts exactly. I just read your answer after typing mine. Glad you understand too that there's no need for us to be fond of labels that are really attempts to stereotype.
Those who hate to be judged (like me) don't really have an inclination to identify with any preconceived sects or denominations. Judgements always give birth to discriminations, and I'm sure you don't want to go through that again.

To answer your question, I believe that you would be called a "baby Christian."
You do not belong to any organized religion and I say "good for you!"
You are able to drink milk but you aren't strong enough in your faith to eat real solid food.
You are not wrong in your choice. It is good to question, but you must be open to the truth when you find it.
There is no denomination (Christian sect) that is perfect.
You do not need to belong to any certain church to be a Christian. Anyone that teaches that is wrong.
However, trying "to live life as good as you can" is not enough. You must believe in God (as you say you do) and in God's only begotten (born) Son, Jesus.
Jesus said that those who loved Him would keep His commandments. Jesus said that He was giving us a "new" commandment, "That you have love for one another."
As you and your little brother have experienced in life, too many Christians and other religious followers lack love and do not therefore keep the commandments of Jesus--which is also the command of God.

You could be called simply a theist, although that's more of an academic name for someone rather than casual name. There's also a brand of a theist called "a deist" who is someone believing that God created the world but abandoned it and has no influence on it anymore.

You sound like me... I would call myself a non-denominational Christian... I am a Christian, but do not beleive in all the man-made rules that go along with a particular religion. I just read my bible, and listen to what God is telling me.

Well, aren't you a christian only if you believe that Jesus was the son of god and died to save everyone's sins. I was wondering this as well, because I believe in god, but not one who did all the things the bible said that they did.

You are simply "Spiritual". A word that is misused by the religious frequently.

A Theist is one who believes in G*D.
Monotheist, if they believe in only one G*D.
If that G*D is the Creator, mentioned in the Bible,
they might be Judaic, Islamic, or Christian.
If Christian, & they understand/accept G*D as Trinity,
they might be Catholic or Orthodox or Protestant.
