The older I get, the more confusing life seems to get. Does such a person exist who has it all figured out??

No one has it all figured out, and if they do they are unable to communicate it to the rest of us in an understandable manner. I have always believed that once we die our life energy leaves to become one with the universe from whence it came and all the knowledge of all time and space is revealed to us because we cannot comprehend so much while trapped in these fleshy prison cars we call bodies...but i am most likely wrong as i really don't know and no one else does either, despite what they may say or how vehemently they say it...

Ah, you must be a thinker like me. Sometimes things appear at their greatest clarity when one is free from everything and just is--but then, it only lasts for a short while. Because that clarify dissolves as one begin to look at more than one aspect. Ah, life is a mystery. Even if a person has figured it all out, he cannot be able to discern that, because everything would seem different and confusing to him. If he can't figure that, the he hasn't figure everything. I don't see how anyone could. Sometimes, its like when you figure things out you have to un-figure in order to blend past and present perspectives together. I wonder if that made sense. The answer is probably no. There isn't such a person who exists that has figured everything out.

Oh, yeah, I've got it all figured out.

Just kidding. No, I really don't think anyone has it all figured out. Seems like even the great religious and philosophical figures in history spent their whole lives trying to figure it out. I think you just have to do the best you can coming to theories and ideas that work for you, and never stop questioning the world around you and your own thinking. But I'm mainly posting to say: Ignore "atypical"'s advice! Whatever you do, DON'T post this in Religion and Spirituality! Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much thinking going on over there -- just a lot of people getting up on soapboxes.

no. there never will be. that is why we have so many religions and philosophies. no matter what we will never be able to answer life's biggest questions such as where did we come from? or what is the afterlife?
many of us have theories that seem to work for us. for example with me, I believe that we were created by more powerful beings. many see them as God or Allah. I see them as the Goddess and the God. there is no proof or disproof.
I believe that we are reincarnated and go into a life to learm lessons. some believe that this is thier only life (wish they would live as such).
it is really on how each individual sees/ percieves life.

That is the answer. No one does so you are not alone. And why is that? Because as we all have learned life is like that.

How do you remedy that? By remembering the past and how your parents protected and sheltered you from the world for a little bit. They had the answers. And then as ou grew up you had your own answers. That little bit of knowledge you gained in life is the stability that you give to your children, before they become grown up like you are now.

You've got to find that lost path of childhood, if you were lucky. The one that had not just all the answers but the right ones.

There are many people who might think they have it all figured out. That will never be the case. There is always a purpose how can we find it? don't know. My personal opinion is just find what you like, what you enjoy doing and if you have a life partner things will all come in place little by little as that special someone can give you a different aspect of life.

Die at like age 10?

Or genocide...life seems like it would be a lot easier without so much humanity to muss it up.

Sorry. My human face slipped a little there. A real lesson might be to observe the folks who seem the happiest and take notes. Of course happiness is subjective. I know someone who can sit and look at different colored yarn for hours just comparing the colors...exageration but you get the point. What makes some happy drives other to the brink...which may be a lesson in itself...

Aparently lots of people do, based on their ability to come up wth an explanation for absolutely everything. They are also very good at pointing out with unashamed confidence all of the faults of the people whose opinions differ from theirs. They have mastered the art of bullshitting so well they even fool themselves with it.

Actually its a bit of a joy to know how little you know. When you screw up and in a bind, you can always plead stupidity. That's what I do!

Kepp plugging away!! You're probably doing better than you think. The fact that you feel incomplete is the only thing that can keep you continuing to learn and grow.

If there is anyone who has it all figured out to total satisfaction.... such a person would be as good as dead, because what would be left in life thereafter?

Probably not, but where's the fun in that anyhow? Life's about the living and enjoying the day to day discoveries. I know just enough to know that I don't know much at all, but I'm enjoying thinking about it anyway. Read books, watch old movies, go to the mall and observe people. Travel, garden, pray, learn a new language. Get out of your comfort zone. Fly a kite. Be grateful for life's little lessons. Try to find some beauty in everything you encounter. Don't try to figure everything out, enjoy knowing alot about one thing or a little about alot of things - but do enjoy!

Good luck on your quest to unlock the secrets of the universe!
