I am doing a speech on a doctor and I want to make the pople wonder wether he was helping others because he was a man of action that wanted nothing in return or a man of action whose phsychological scars caused him to heal others in order to "heal: himself. Define these two terms and do they fit the subject: altruistic-existentialism and egotsitical-existialism

Acording to the ancient Vedic wisdom, animals and all living entities have an eternal soul. Why are humans able to realize their eternal ralationship with God and animals or other species of life are not able to do that? Also what happens to the soul of an animal when it dies? (Remember the soul is eternal)

Somebody had mentioned this the other day and it got me thinking. Given the chance, would i really want to live forever? Not only on an individual bassis but globally as well. thinking more along the lines of practicality rather than religion where do you stand?

I believe that thinks Have value and are appreciated because they have a time limit so-to-speak, but on the other hand i look at other things and would never want to let them go.

Not meant to be too serious a question so have fun with it. Thanx

I think it's pretty impressive as is. So why think there has to be more. What has happened to cause life is amazing, all the random occurances to create everything up to us. It just doesn't get more amazing than that. What do you fiends want?

Everything in this world is relational. There is a given set of circumstances that we must all be able to deal with (Ex. our parents, what dna we get, what state we are born in, how we are raised, etc.). The basic state of humanity tends to be meloncholia (anomie). Usually because of those circumstances that we were born into. Life sucks! We cannot meet our basic needs without others. We feel empty if we do not have what we consider to be a meaningful existence with a purpose. However, we are born into this world alone and we die alone. Many of us feel alone even if we are around other people. So, if everything is relational and yet we feel alone then how can we begin to be able to tolerate that feeling and/or find meaning in life? Then, how do we be able to accept the fact that one day we will die? We all fear death but the fact that we are born and die is the only constant there is.
