I am doing a speech on a doctor and I want to make the pople wonder wether he was helping others because he was a man of action that wanted nothing in return or a man of action whose phsychological scars caused him to heal others in order to "heal: himself. Define these two terms and do they fit the subject: altruistic-existentialism and egotsitical-existialism

1. The term "egotistical existentialism" is redundant. Existentialism is, by it's very nature, egotistical...especially in its extremes (solipsism).

2. "Altruistic existentialism" is a much more interesting term, however it would be subsumed under the banner of egotistically driven actions. This is because existentialism is centered around the self, first and foremost. Anything one does which is unselfish is still done for selfish reasons.

Two better terms to use in your expose' would be:

1. Altruistically Driven.
2. Existentially Driven
