Ronin, ahh like an intellectual, "Mad-Lib"? This isn't exactly what I had in mind. Now, the visual I get from your example certainly is deserving of a thumbs-up.

Original thought, a philosophers dream, a Christian nightmare. There is no such thing, each thought is inspired by another and another and so on and on. Thought is merely unmanifested action inspired by something seen, heard, fealt or said or even believed.
Ronin has quite the little fantasy going, but even that was inspired by something along the line...you are so very naughty!

One would never know as not only does man have the
constant bombardment of information, music, news,
dance, literature, science, etc. but also genetic memories,
dream sequences, and a trillion mega-pixels flooding
our senses. In each of these images and thoughts there
are rivulets of sub conscious information being formed
constantly. I've always believed that there's an endless
abyss of information available to whomever wants to
go fishing there....but it's the communal pool, being
constantly replenished with information...so...even if
that one thought seems to be original, it's basis is
not...it's just a matter or re-arranging classic human
thought processes to come up with something that's
a unique take on a familiar theme. Interesting question
that I've pondered myself.

There is nothing original under the sun. There is no such thing as an original thought; all thoughts exist in the abstract realm, its a matter of tapping into them, not creating them. However, applying a thought in the present moment means a whole different thing all together.

An Original Thought... Original, Origin. I think the problem lies in the definition. We think as a unit. If you mean an original thought as in all on your own, impossible. If you mean a first time, then yes. We come to the same conclusion at the same time because we are all thinking together.

There is no such thing as original thought. Everything you think of is a assimilation of what your senses perceived. For example you are thinking of a fish with the head of a camel. tha is not original, because you already have the idea of a camel and a fish. That is why, a man born blind cannnot form images in his thought. Or a born deaf, cannot speak.

Perhaps one has an unspoken thought and it is original in a sense, but others have probably had the same thought as well. I don't think being the only one to have a thought is more meaningful than a profound thought that has occurred to others throughout time.

A good rule of thumb for maintaining a balanced view of the power of your own intellect:
Any idea you have, seven other people in the world just thought of the same thing.

if you dind't know something before and came up with it on your own, it's an original thought. just because someone knew it before you doesn't mean they helped you think of it. the world would see it as an old concept, but had you thought of it ealier, you would've had an original thought

Basically think about some modern piece of technology, then u have eliminated anyone who lived b4 our time. Then think about something really bizarre related to it, i guarantee u it's original.
example:
Think about Abraham Lincoln having sex with Madonna while both are wearing Ipods and a purple bikini-wearing Genghis Khan is watching. bam, original
