....there are some great answers here....love Phoenix Quill's....cracked me up...and I liked Prairie Crone's except I never tire of your dance...I guess that is why I am such a good follower...regarding your question...
.....I believe those who chase their own tales do not know themselves at all and it is only when they finally face themselves that they are able to start writing their own tale....

It is necessary to meet myself in order to honestly tell the tale. For honesty is the only way to be truthful and learn the lessons that must be found. There was a time when denial was the way to tell the tale but those times are long past and we are still dealing with the repercussions from that time. It was a lesson hard learned but not soon forgotten.

I sense a change in you my friend. You are in need of a new dance and to face yourself again as you did before. The old dance is wearing thin.........

Little men, listen!

Chasing your tale as a thief,

Make you frightened of meeting yourselves

Face to face, love to love

Looking for nothing in your shelves

Your search for clues is so bitten

I'm only a dove

Glancing at your lief….

I could not keep up with my tale so I tell it or live it and then let it go. There are so many other people I would rather meet face to face than myself.

To chase ones own tale means meeting face to tale, not face to face; although one *** often deserves the other.

Sadly no.

Those who successfully chase their own tail wind up with their head up their @ss.

Update: Many apologies flutterbypurr I had you confused with the semi-literates.

When you chase your own tale, you come face to face with an idiot, full of sound and fury, whose words signify nothing.

If you catch you own tale, you wind up full of yourself.

I am going to humor myself and pretend you meant story instead of tail. I would not chose to do so because I want to have a life after I get published you know.

No, I spent many a year in this pointless pursuit. When I chase My vision I meet myself face to face. Thanks!
