I think one should be working to transcend their karma whether it be based in happiness or unhappiness. After all, emotions are all karmic no matter if you judge them to be good or bad. The goal is to go beyond not to feel wrong or right.

Bah humbug- is my answer.
We can either go sourgrapes or go ballistic when handed down a great injustice or inequity.
Revenge. How nice when we are wronged. If we are powerless to fight back bullies and unjust people with power, we take on the "you will get yours through karma!!!!" route.
Does karma really punish our enemies? When a hugely powerful manager tramples on needy small little workers, does he really pull that nasty clot which triggers his heart to a path of a life threatening coronary occlusion?
Or can you turn this all around and say "well, those little workers MUST have done something to him in a past life and they are NOW paying him this karmic debt.
It is confusing.
All we can do is live a good life, do no harm, remain true to yourself, never forget to give thanks to god.

~My happiness or unhappiness is a result of the choices I've made, the outcomes of those choices and a bit of luck (bad or good) thrown in.
I could blame the unhappiness on karma or fate or god or injustice or some one else's fault. But what good would that do and what would I learn from the experience?
If I'm not happy and I don't do anything to change the situation, then it's my own fault -- and my own choice.
Same with happiness.

Yes. As a born believer in theory of Karma, I feel life is just a reflection of action and reaction. Then the question of good and bad comes. The judge for all our actions is in us as a witness for every act of ours. It is called our conscience which weigh every act of ours to decide good or bad. We must understand that there need not be outside force to reward or punish our actions. The reactions for our actions themselves do that job.
